Forgive the title, I have lapses where I think I'm clever.

Anyways, I'm curious if anyone has done any research on how faction goes numberwise. Like I know it goes Scowl, Glare, Dubious, Indifferent, Amiably, Kindly, Warmly, Ally, but what kind of distance is between the lowest level from one to the other. Any redirects to pages discussing this, or information would be greatly appreciated. Hoping NOT to find out that it varies from faction to faction :)

    From Alla's wiki:
    EQ:faction
    • Ally = +4 1450 to 2500
    • Warmly = +3 1100 to 1450
    • Kindly = +2 750 to 1100
    • Amiable = +1 150 to 750
    • Indifferent = 0 0 to 150
    • Apprehensive = -1 0 to -150
    • Dubious = -2 -150 to -750
    • Threateningly = -3 -750 to -1100
    • Ready to Attack = -4 -1100 to -2500
    or
    • Ally 1100 to 2100
    • Warmly 750 to 1099
    • Kindly 500 to 749
    • Amiable 100 to 499
    • Indifferent 0 to 99
    • Apprehensive -100 to -1
    • Dubious -500 to -101
    • Threatening -800 to -501
    • Scowls -2100 to -801

Nice, thank you Khat_Nip, believe i'll go with list # 2, it lines up better with what was going on for me last night in a bit of endless DoN factioning.

Faction. When you hand in an item, get the message you gain a point, hand in more till you are just into apprehensive, then hand in 200 more to get to indifferent, then you know its a 200 point span. same with indifferent to amiable. then 800 to kindly, 500 to warmly and 700 to ally.
    • Ally 2200+
    • Warmly 1500 to 2199
    • Kindly 1000 to 1499
    • Amiable 199 to 999
    • Indifferent 0 to 199
    • Apprehensive -200 to -1
    • Dubious -1000 to -201
    • Threatening -1500 to -1001
    • Scowls below -1500
There are exceptions. some amiable spans are 700. some factions work very differently. this is just a general idea. Many of the charts out there are similar, just proportionally smaller. The problem with the lower charts is trying to count 1 hand in as half a point - or 3/4 of a point. After years of discussion, it would take a single post ( few paragraphs) from EQ to disclose this faction chart and be done with it. They made a big step to show how much faction you gain and lose each time, but many of us want even more. there are over 600 factions in EQ now, some are defunct. I have gotten max with 230+ of them ( with 260 being unable to raise at all).
